The Queensland Herb Society (QHS) meets on the first Tuesday of every month (except January) at 7.30pm. Our meetings are relaxed and informal, are generally 60-90 minutes in duration and followed by refreshments. Come along and be part of a friendly, social and informative evening.
2nd March ~ General Meeting: A last minute change of plans… For a bit of fun we will have a workshop night and make Herbal Pills with Bettina Schmoll.
Everyone will need to bring:
•A spoon or a fork
•Your own water e.g. in a water bottle
•A clean piece of A4 paper
Bettina will be supplying the herbs and other ingredients required and we will be making pills for wind/flatulence.
Our feature Herb of the month will be Nutmeg presented by Debbieand our Dish of the month will be Pumpkin Pie by Darlene.
Please bring something to share for supper, but remember that it will need to be something that can be served with tongs.

Due to meeting restrictions of recent times Membership Subscriptions to become a NEW MEMBER or to RENEW EXISTING MEMBERSHIP is reduced to 1/2 year pricing DUE JANUARY 2021. To keep book keeping simple, please only pay the relevant amount as – no extra (it will give our treasurer a headache!).
Don’t forget, if you pay electronically, to use “MEM + your surname” as the payment reference, then email us with your proof of payment and a scan or photo of your completed form so we have all the up to date details. And of course you can still pay by cheque via the post or, all going well, we can accept cash payments at our February meeting.
This 1/2 year subscription will then bring us back in line with our usual renewal in July.

We have guest speakers at our general meetings and at Herb Awareness each year. They all have a wealth of herbal knowledge and love sharing that with our members and visitors.
Every three months our publication Sage is printed and sent out to all our members. It is full of herby stories, herb of the month and guest speakers content. We have recipes that have been submitted by our members and snippets that might just help you with something going wrong in the garden or inspiration to create or try something new..
